The ESEAC 2014 will take place at Malmö University, located in the very midst of Malmö. Orkanen, the main building of the university, is situated a short walk from Malmö train station, where trains from Stockholm, Gothenburg and Copenhagen call. The university building is beautifully situated on the quay, and have a nice view of the harbor.
Malmö is Sweden’s third largest city by population after Stockholm and Gothenburg, and hold about 350 000 inhabitants in the metropolitan area. Together with Copenhagen, it constitutes the transnational Øresund Region. Since the construction of the Öresund bridge, Malmö has undergone a major transformation with architectural developments, attracting new biotech and IT companies, and particularly students through Malmö University, founded in 1998.
